Dr. Lauren Ostling joins Mayfield Brain & Spine
CINCINNATI–Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce that Lauren Ostling, MD, a fellowship-trained and board-certified neurosurgeon, will join Mayfield and begin seeing patients April 14.
Dr. Ostling has expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery and image-guided neurosurgery. She treats patients with spinal disorders, brain tumors, spinal tumors, hydrocephalus and Chiari malformations, as well as adolescent patients transitioning to adult care. She will see patients at Mayfield's office in Green Township and perform surgery at Mercy West Hospital and the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center.
Dr. Ostling earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Medicine. She completed a residency in neurosurgery at UC and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
Dr. Ostling was an attending neurosurgeon with Children's Neurosurgical Associates and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, she served as assistant professor of Neurological Surgery, director of Neurotrauma, co-director of the Neuroscience Center and community outreach chair for the Pediatric Brain Center at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals.
Dr. Ostling is board certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgeons. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Women in Neurosurgery.
