Mayfield Clinic Elects Officers

CINCINNATI, OH: The Mayfield Clinic Board of Directors has announced newly elected executive committee officers for 2004.

Ronald Warnick, MD, is the newly elected Chairman of the Board. Dr. Warnick has been with Mayfield since 1991 and has served as Treasurer since 2000. He is Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Division of Surgical Neuro-Oncology at the UC College of Medicine, and Medical Director of Neurosurgery at The Jewish Hospital.

Raj Narayan, MD, was re-elected Vice Chair. He also serves as Frank H. Mayfield Professor and Chairman of the University of Cincinnati Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Narayan joined Mayfield in 2002.

Other newly elected officers include: Bradley Mullen, MD, Treasurer; Thomas Saul, MD, Secretary; Mario Zuccarello, MD, Member at Large, and A. Lee Greiner, MD, Member At Large.

Dr. Mullen has been with Mayfield since 1991 and a member of the Finance Committee since 2002. He also leads the Kentucky Political Action Committee process for Mayfield.

Dr. Saul, who joined Mayfield in 1981, is Chairman of the Section of Neurosurgery and Director of the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital, and Associate Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery at the UC College of Medicine.

Dr. Zuccarello joined Mayfield in 1993, and is Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Division of Cerebrovascular Surgery and the Division of Clinical Trials at the UC College of Medicine. He is also Chief of Neurosurgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a member of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Stroke Team.

A. Lee Greiner, MD, served as Chairman of Mayfield’s Board of Directors for the past 13 years. Dr. Greiner has led Mayfield through a significant time of growth, including recruitment of new physicians, expansion into new markets, development of a leadership transition process, and establishment of new business ventures such as the Mayfield Imaging Center and Precision Radiotherapy. In addition to his work as a neurosurgeon for Mayfield, Dr. Greiner also serves as Medical Director of the Neuroscience Service Line of the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.
