Dr. George Mandybur joins Mayfield Clinic & Spine Institute

CINCINNATI– George Mandybur, MD, FACS, neurosurgeon, has joined the Mayfield Clinic & Spine Institute.

Dr. Mandybur, a 1990 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed his neurosurgery residency at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1996, where he also received specialized training in movement disorders and surgical pain management. He most recently served as associate professor of neurosurgery and director of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.

His office is located at 222 Piedmont Avenue, Suite 3100, Cincinnati, where he sees patients who have a broad range of neurological illnesses and injuries. In addition to general neurosurgery, he has specific expertise in the surgical treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, epilepsy and pain. He will perform stereotactic radiosurgery at University Hospital and Precision Radiotherapy at University Pointe.

In addition to his clinical schedule, Dr. Mandybur serves as Director of the Division of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He is also affiliated with The Neuroscience Institute and the Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.

Dr. Mandybur has admitting privileges at University Hospital, Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), CNS Section on Pain, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Epilepsy Society, American Medical Association, American Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgeons, Movement Disorders Society, and Sigma Xi Research Society. He is board certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
