The Dr. Steven Bailey and Dr. Robert Bohinski join
Mayfield Clinic & Spine Institute
CINCINNATI-Steven C. Bailey, MD, and Robert Bohinski, MD, PhD, are the newest neurosurgeons to join the Mayfield Clinic & Spine Institute.
Dr. Bailey, a 1997 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed his neurosurgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003. His office is located at 350 Thomas More Parkway in Crestview Hills, Ky., where he sees patients who have a broad range of neurological illnesses and injuries. In addition to general neurosurgery, he has specific expertise in spine instrumentation, surgical management of facial pain, and image guided neurosurgery. Dr. Bailey's professional memberships include the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. He is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Bohinski recently completed fellowships in spinal and cranial neuro-oncology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and in complex adult spinal deformity at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He is a 2002 graduate of the Mayfield Clinic and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine neurosurgery residency program. He also received his medical (1996) and doctorate (1994) degrees from UC. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, AANS/CNS Section on Tumors, North American Spine Society, Pituitary Tumor Network Association, and American Medical Association. He is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Bohinski, whose office is located at 2123 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, sees patients who have a broad range of neurological illnesses. In addition to performing general neurosurgery, he is skilled in treating complex disorders of the spine, including kyphosis and scoliosis. He also has expertise in Pancoast tumors and tumors affecting the spine, sacrum, skull base and pituitary.
Dr. Bailey and Dr. Bohinski have admitting privileges at most major hospitals in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
