Mayfield’s Initial Care Department is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to help patients get the treatment they need quickly and efficiently.

For new patients
As a new Mayfield patient, you will be introduced to our services in three easy steps.

1. Call our Initial Care Department at 513-221-1100 or 800-325-7787 to complete a medical history interview.

2. Provide recent X-Rays, MRI/CT scans, or other related
test results. You may be asked to deliver the information to one of our offices. We can also assist you in obtaining the necessary test results.

3. Get on the road to recovery. The neurosurgeon reviews your medical and diagnostic information and provides treatment recommendations. At that time, someone from our Care Coordination Department will contact you to discuss the surgeon’s treatment recommendations.

This rapid review, which we call Priority Consult, provides several advantages:

  • Urgent medical conditions are quickly identified, and patient care is expedited.
  • Patients whose conditions are less urgent often are referred to a rehabilitation physician, physical therapist or chiropractic specialist for evaluation and treatment.
