U.S. News Top Doctors was created in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America's Top Doctors and other consumer health guides. It draws from Castle Connolly's database of Top Doctors, all recommended for their clinical skills by other doctors and individually vetted by a physician-led research team.
"The Mayfield Clinic congratulates Drs. Abruzzo, Kuntz, Warnick, and Zuccarello for earning a place in this rarefied circle of excellence," said Michael Gilligan, President and CEO of the Mayfield Clinic. "Their inclusion is a strong endorsement of the entire Mayfield Clinic, whose specialists are among the brightest and most talented in the nation."
The Top Doctors directory also identifies Dr. Warnick as a physician who, in Castle Connolly's estimation, is "among the top 1 percent in the nation in his specialty."
U.S. News Top Doctors augments the Best Hospitals rankings, which U.S. News updated in its 22nd annual rankings last week. Those rankings can be viewed at www.usnews.com/best-hospitals. The magazine ranked UC Health University Hospital, home of the UC Neuroscience Institute, among the nation’s best, listing neurosurgery and neurology as "high-performing." The magazine awarded a No. 21 ranking to University Hospital’s ear, nose & throat physicians, who are part of the UC Neuroscience Institute and who collaborate closely with Mayfield physicians.
