2007 Team Waddell Captain

Team Waddell, named in honor of Virgilee and Oliver Waddell, is a
5-year-old cycling team that has raised $103,000 for the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society through the annual Bike MS, a two-day event with 150-
and 100-mile routes. In 2007, 30 T eam Waddell cyclists raised $18,500 for
national MS research and local MS programs, finishing among the top ten
fund-raising teams in the Cincinnati-Dayton area and qualifying for the MS
Society's platinum-level fundraising award. Team captain for 2007 was Lori
Shutter, MD, a neurointensivist with the Mayfield Clinic and The
Neuroscience Institute.
Team captains for 2008 are John M. Tew, MD, neurosurgeon with the
Mayfield Clinic and Clinical Director of The Neuroscience Institute, and
Maria Melanson, MD, Clinical Director of the Waddell Center for Multiple
Sclerosis.
