A variety of memorial and education funds have been established within the Neurosciences Foundation, a nonprofit foundation designed to support neuroscience research, professional and public education, and patient services in Greater Cincinnati. Gifts can be designated for educational materials, services and support programs, or specific research projects or endowments.
The largest fund within the Neurosciences Foundation is the Brain Tumor Research Fund, which was established in 1992 to support physician education and training in neuro-oncology, patient care, patient education, and brain tumor research projects underway here in Cincinnati. The fund supports activities conducted by researchers of the Mayfield Clinic and the Barrett Cancer Center at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Because the fund incurs little administrative cost, all contributions benefit patients, family members and research projects.
